My name is Todd Bowen. I’m a lifelong athlete and exerciser.
In a previous life, I played basketball, baseball, and beach volleyball. ๐ โพ๏ธ ๐
These days, I stay active with a balance of weightlifting and hot yoga. ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ ๐งโโ๏ธ
I’m also extremely passionate about muscle recovery. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
I have a degree in Information Technology. Ergonomics was my favorite topic. Probably because of my interest in athletics. ๐ค

In 2022, I stopped eating fast-food and seed oils completely.
In the first 3 months of eating clean, I lost 45 pounds! It was eye-opening! ๐ณ
My all-around quality of life improved tremendously. Especially when it came to my computer posture.
I went from 235 pounds to 190 pounds. I wasn’t even trying to lose that much weight. My goals were to feel better, recover quicker, and have more energy.
I’m not low-carb, or anything extreme like that. I focus on eating real foods.
I eat mostly an animal-based diet. ๐ฅฉ ๐ณ
Along with some fruits and vegetables. ๐ฅ ๐ฅฆ
I’d describe my macro intake as high protein, moderate carbs, and moderate-to-high animal fats.
I don’t sacrifice taste to eat clean. All the foods I cook taste great. Definitely better than the foods I used to eat before 2022.
But let’s rewind…
In 2002, I started sitting at a computer desk 40 hours a week. ๐จ๐ปโ๐ป
By 2011, my posture was poor and my body was broken. ๐ค
Sitting for long periods of time (8 hours a day) really broke me down. Both physically and mentally.
I would go to work 5 days a week, trapped inside an office. I worked under fake, fluorescent, white lights. I’d barely see the sun, only for a few minutes on my lunch break.
I’d breathe in dust that fell from the ceiling tiles all day. All while constantly staring at the neon lights from my computer monitor.
Combine all this with the ultra-processed foods I was eating, the overtraining I’d do in the gym, and my poor sleep quality. It was a recipe for disaster. And my computer posture suffered greatly.
Despite a lifetime of sports and exercise, sitting at a computer caused the worst injuries I’ve ever had.
After correcting my posture in 2011, I became a Certified Posture Specialist (CPS) to help others learn how to sit with good computer posture. ๐ป
Since then, I’ve become passionate and obsessive about high performance habits for a sedentary lifestyle.
As sedentary office workers, the cards are stacked against us. But…
Pain-free computer posture is a realistic goal. ๐คฉ
There are many healthy office habits we can adopt. And the more of them we practice consistently, the more benefits we can reap. I like to call these habits โก๏ธ computer posture force multipliers.
My goals are to help the reader:
- decrease computer-related pain
- improve computer posture
- increase work productivity
- improve mental clarity
- increase energy level

45 Ways covers multiple subtopics of computer ergonomics.
These variables include:

- hydration ๐ง
- sleep quality ๐ค
- breath work ๐ฎโ๐จ
All these are directly related to how good (or bad) our computer posture is.
My book is available in PDF eBook, Kindle eBook, and paperback.
